The Norwegian University of Science and Technology Scholarship has several scholarships and positions currently available for eligible and motivated students who want to study in Europe.

PhD applicants studying at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology are eligible for annual stipends of €48,858 through the Norwegian University of Science and Technology Scholarships.

Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) is looking for applications for a funded PhD program or a fully funded PhD scholarship.

Norwegian University of Science and Technology Scholarship Duration and Benefits

The following are needed for Norwegian University of Science and Technology Scholarships:

  • You must have a master’s degree or equivalent and a strong academic record,
  • You must have scored a B or better during your last 2 years of study (corresponding to 120 credits/ECTS).
  • You must meet the required criteria for PhD programme in your department of study.
  • You must have very good English language skills, written and spoken.

Required Document

Candidates must be ready to submit the following documents when applying;

  • Cover letter explaining the applicant’s personal motivation, summarizing his / her scientific research, and how the applicant thinks his / her background is appropriate.
  • A PhD research proposal (page 1 or 2) that presents your thoughts on the PhD and its applications based on the project description provided in this proposal solicitation. This proposal is neither final nor binding on the project.
  • Resume (summary of education, job title, teaching experience, management experience and other qualified activities).
  • Applicants from universities outside Norway are required to submit a diploma supplement or similar document detailing the course and grade evaluation system.
  • Proof of English proficiency.
  • Name and contact information for at least two references (name, candidate relationship, email, phone number).
