What are the categories of PR applicants that need an ECA?
- Applicants applying for a PR visa under the Federal Skilled Workers Program and have completed their education out of Canada.
- Applicants with an education out of Canada and need to get points.
- Applicants applying for a PR visa with their legal spouse are required to get an ECA report to get points in the visa application for their education.
- Applicants with a higher level of education like a Master’s degree require an ECA. However, individuals with two or more degrees will need an ECA for both.
