Scholarship Details:
The four-year PhD grant is a collaborative research project between Teagasc Moorepark and the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Science at University College Dublin (UCD). Students are to be based in Teagasc Moorepark, enrolled in UCD, and are working under the supervision of Dr. Jonathan Herron (Teagasc) and Michael Wallace (UCD).
The purpose of this PhD scholarship is to assess the economic impact of the circular economy related to crops and livestock and to develop an economic incentive framework to promote the circular economy.
The PhD grant is part of the ReLIVE project, a multinational ERA-Net project funded by the EU, participating country funding agencies, and the Global Research Alliance.
The postgraduate will liaise with international collaborators in assessing the economic implications of identified management practices that can mitigate GHG emissions and increase C sequestration.

2022 University College Dublin Scholarship Eligibility Requirements:
To be eligible for the 2022 University College Dublin Scholarship, You must meet all of the following criteria:
- Have or expect to hold an honors degree in the appropriate field.
- You must have a high level of spontaneity and a deep understanding of livestock and cultivation systems.
- Speak fluent English (spoken and written). Applicants whose native language is not English require knowledge of English.
